Kelly Gilson

Kelly is our front desk receptionist. From your first call into the practice, to scheduling your last follow-up appointment, Kelly will always be here to help! In addition to managing the front desk, Kelly also occasionally helps schedule consults on Dr. Alderman’s schedule.

  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: Enjoying Atlanta’s restaurants, bars, parks, etc with my friends!

Aja Barrera

Aja is one of our surgical coordinators and primarily handles Dr. Alderman’s consultation schedule. Upon inquiring to schedule a consult with Dr. Alderman, you will first receive an email from Aja to schedule a phone call with her. On that call, Aja will provide you with more information on our practice, gather some information from you, and then schedule your consultation with Dr. A!

  • Grew up in: Atlanta, GA
  • Best part of working at NAPS: The bond that our team has… We’re like one big family!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A baker
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: Very hard decision! I’m torn between my two favorites… ELTA Clear and AlphaLash!
  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: Spending time with my family

Tera Doyle

Tera, our other surgical coordinator, is who you will meet with on your consultation day! With a background in education, Tera enjoys guiding each patient through the process of consultation to surgery. She is here to field questions, ease concerns, and connect each patient with the resources they need to get the most out of their surgical experience. Our patients love Tera’s sweet and engaging personality and always look forward to seeing her even after their surgery is over.

  • Currently lives in: Roswell, GA
  • Grew up in: The rolling bluegrass hills of Kentucky
  • Best part of working at NAPS: Being able to walk through the entire surgical journey with our patients. From holding their hand during the pre-surgery jitters to seeing the sheer joy on their faces a few weeks post-surgery… makes my heart smile!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: The owner of a bed & breakfast or a roller-skating rink. Or maybe a bed & breakfast that has a roller-skating rink for guests.
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: Breast Lift and Ultherapy!
  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: Relaxing by the pool with a libation or two…

Katie Baker

Katie, our Director of Nursing, is both a licensed Registered Nurse and Scrub Technician. She has been working with both Dr. Alderman and Dr. Joiner for over 10 years, and loves being the right-hand woman both in and out of the operating room! It’s really amazing how well she gets to know every surgical patient.

  • Best part of working at NAPS: Getting to know patients & helping them through all aspects of their care!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A forensic scientist (CSI… here I come!)
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: Breast Augmentation / HALO… I also really love my results from Laser Hair Removal!
  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: On the lake with my hubby & son!

Kerri Bailey

Kerri is one of our clinical Registered Nurses. She has been a RN for over 20 years and has worked in Plastic Surgery with Dr. Alderman since 2012! Whether she’s helping prepare patients for surgery or providing care for them at a follow-up appointment, our patients love Kerri’s big smile, warm heart, and calm demeanor.

  • Grew up in: Marietta, GA (I’m a GA native!)
  • Best part of working at NAPS: Seeing patients at their first post-op appointment with their excitement and happiness as they get to see a glimpse of their surgical results!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A lifeguard (when I retire of course)…

Cody Hicks

Cody is another one of our clinical Registered Nurses. Having worked in the hospital for several years, she now loves working at NAPS where she can connect on a deeper level with patients! Cody takes great pride in making sure patients are well-prepared for their surgical journey and loves holding their hand through the entire process.

  • Best part of working at NAPS: Guiding my patients through the pre-op journey and of course, working with a fabulous group of beautiful women inside and out!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A blackjack dealer in Las Vegas
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: ALL of our surgical procedures are my favorite!
  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: Hiking with my lab (Remi), eating sushi, traveling, and visiting my amazing son at CU Boulder

Patty Anderson

Patty, one of our Registered Nurses for the surgical center, can do it all… She has been a nurse for almost 30 years and is also a certified Scrub Technician, Registered Nurse First Assistant, and has specialized training to care for patients before, during and after surgery. Patty is able to greatly comfort patients with her pre & post operative phone calls that help answer all of their questions.

  • Best part of working at NAPS: Seeing happy patients… it’s the best ever!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A stand-up comedian
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: HALO (to make up for my sun worshipping teenage years!)

Annie Makinson

Annie is another one of our Registered Nurses for the surgical center, and will be one of the first team members to meet you on your surgical day. Annie has been a Nurse for almost 10 years, and our patients love her comforting, calm personality. She helps get patients ready for their procedure on surgery day, and also helps take care of patients as they come out of surgery!

  • Grew up in: London, England (ESSEX)
  • Best part of working at NAPS: Getting to know patients the day of surgery! I love to help them get ready for surgery, and also help them recover after surgery. I love being a part of their journey!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: In the Fitness industry
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: Surgical- Breast Reduction. Medspa- MOXI, it’s such a great skin treatment!
  • When not at work, you can most likely find me: At the farm, running, and/or hiking with my dog Zoe!

Renee Cooper, RN

Renee is our Senior Laser Registered Nurse. She’s been an RN for 30 years, and she worked as a Labor & Delivery RN at Northside Hospital prior to becoming a Senior Laser Practitioner. Now having spent the past 20 years specializing in lasers, Renee performs both ablative and non-ablative treatments like HALO, Forever Young BBL, DIVA Vaginal Rejuvenation, MOXI, V-Beam (vascular), Vivace RF Microneedling, etc. In 2020, Renee was named as a Luminary for Sciton, the manufacturer of many popular treatments like HALO, Forever Young BBL, DIVA, etc. Sciton names a handful of very knowledgeable and experienced providers to train others (surgeons, physicians, etc) around the country on their treatments. At The Spa at NAPS, not only do we strive to have the best lasers and treatments, but we also strive to have the best providers performing these treatments!

  • Best part of working at NAPS: The team of skilled, talented, kind, caring, and compassionate women that I work with
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: A life coach and retired… But I love what I do so I can’t quit!
  • Favorite surgical procedure/Medspa treatment/skincare product: Breast Augmentation & Lift for surgical procedure. And obviously I love all Laser treatments!! HALO, BBL, Diva Vaginal Rejuvenation, I love all lasers!

Melissa Tyler

Melissa is a licensed medical aesthetician & assistant laser practitioner. She is a graduate of Atlanta Institute of Aesthetics, has attended CoolSculpting University, and has nearly a decade of experience in the aesthetic industry. Melissa has previously worked at a high-volume laser center as well as a top ranked dermatology practice. She prides herself in educating patients on skincare & tailoring customized treatment plans to help them achieve their aesthetic goals. Melissa believes that beauty is a feeling & she loves helping her patients to feel their very best!

  • Best part of working at NAPS: I love being part of a rockstar team and providing beautiful aesthetic outcomes for our pateints!
  • If I weren’t so good at my job, I’d probably be: Serving up yummy plant based goods at my own vegan café.
