North Atlanta Plastic Surgery Staff
Katie, our director of nursing, grew up on a farm in Indiana but has lived and worked in Atlanta for more than 15 years. She loves being Dr. Alderman’s right-hand woman both in and out of the operating room. It’s really amazing how she knows everything about every surgical patient! She is both a licensed registered nurse and scrub technician.
When not at work, we can find Katie hanging out on the lake with her hubby and teenage son or taking care of her chickens so she can bring fresh eggs for all the staff to enjoy!
Michelle, our clinical registered nurse, has spent her entire adult life in Atlanta and is the ultimate southern girl with all that southern charm. Our patients absolutely adore her and the kind way she interacts with them during their surgical journey. Michelle spent most of her medical career as a hospital nurse before making the change to plastic surgery 6 years ago. Her favorite part of her job is learning about each patient’s lives and helping them through their preoperative and postoperative instructions and care.
When not in the office, Michelle loves spending time with her beautiful grand babies and her spoiled pups.
Kerri, our clinical registered nurse, is one of those rare gals who was born and raised in Atlanta and has never left this amazing city. Our patients love being greeted by Kerri’s big smile, warm heart and calm demeanor. Kerri has been a nurse for over 20 years and has worked in plastic surgery with Dr. Alderman since 2012. She takes great pride in making sure patients are well-prepared for their surgical journey and loves holding their hand through the entire process.
She has two very active teenagers who keep her busy attending a myriad of athletic events. Her calming influence is her dog, Ollie! In her free time, you can find her pumping some serious iron at the gym or relaxing poolside.

Kelly, our front office coordinator, is often the first member of our staff to greet you on the phone or in person when you arrive at our office. She is that super sweet native Atlantan who always makes you feel special no matter how your day is going. She will guide you through the patient portal if needed, and she will make sure you are comfortable before meeting with our nursing staff and Dr. Alderman. She has worked in plastic surgery for almost a decade, and she is really our ‘go to’ person for whatever you may need.
Her favorite part of her job is getting to know our patients and providing that personal touch that makes patients feel at home. When not in the office, we know Kelly is most likely watching a sporting event at The Battery in Smyrna with her handsome boyfriend, kayaking the Chattahochee, or spending time with Harper, her yellow Labrador retriever.
Tera, our surgical patient coordinator, has Kentucky roots but has lived in Atlanta for the last seven years with her husband and twin daughters. With a background in education, she enjoys guiding each patient through the process of consultation to surgery. She is here to field questions, ease concerns and build relationships and connect each patient with the resources they need to get the most out of their surgical experience. Our patients love Tera’s sweet and engaging personality and always look forward to seeing her even after their surgery is over.
When not at the office, you can find Tera hosting poolside with her family and friends, soaking in the great outdoors on a run or a hike and basking in all the great live music that Atlanta has to offer.
Amanda, our registered nurse for the surgical center, will most likely be the team member who spends time with you after surgery in the recovery room. She is one of the sweetest members of our team but is extremely knowledgeable in surgical care. She is originally from Hilton Head, South Carolina but has spent most of her nursing career in Atlanta. Amanda loves caring for our patients who are going through a positive, life changing experience. And our patients truly love being cared for by Amanda.
When not taking care of our surgical patients, Amanda is having fun at home with her baby daughter and handsome husband. Most of all, she loves spending time with family and friends and enjoying outdoor activities.
Patty, our registered nurse for the surgical center, will be one of the first team members to meet you on your surgical day. She is a unique hybrid between the north and the south, having grown up in Niagara Falls, New York and educated at the University of South Florida. Patty can do it all. She has been a nurse for almost 30 years and is also a certified scrub technician, registered nurse first assistant, and has specialized training to care for patients before, during and after surgery. Patty immediately makes patients feel comfortable the moment they see her, and they greatly comforted by her pre and post operative phone calls that help answer all of their questions.
When not in the surgical suite, Patty enjoys making special dinners for her husband and her two grown daughters, bringing our office homegrown veggies from her garden, and running around after her farm animals.
