What Is Involved in a North Atlanta HydraFacial?
Our HydraFacial at The Spa at NAPS uses advanced, patented technology to cleanse, hydrate, restore, and treat the skin, resulting in immediately noticeable improvements to common skin concerns.
While the unique skin clarifying device is being used, it simultaneously removes dead skin cells. It applies intensely moisturizing serums that will help strengthen the skin’s natural barrier and promote cellular turnover. The products involved are customizable to treat your individual concerns and according to the quality of your skin.
A HydraFacial will include four separate steps: cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, and the application of your chosen serum.
Step 1. Cleansing
Your aesthetician will gently wash your face with a clarifying cleanser before applying specially formulated products to condition and prepare your skin for deeper exfoliation.
Step 2. Exfoliation
Once your skin has been thoroughly cleansed of all oil, makeup, and debris, your aesthetician will apply a mix of chemicals to gently remove dead skin cells and allow for better serum penetration.
Step 3. Extraction
After replacing the tip on the device, your aesthetician will begin removing excess dirt, oil, free radicals, and pollutants from your pores. This process helps to keep your skin clear of acne breakouts and clears clogged, enlarged pores. A topical product will also be applied at this stage to rehydrate your skin and soothe any irritation.
Step 4. Treatment
Now that your skin has been cleansed and exfoliated, it’s time for your aesthetician to apply the specifically formulated serums. You get to choose from a variety of different serums and boosters to help individualize your treatment and maximize your results.
After each step, your skincare expert will replace the device’s tip with a new one to control the spread of bacteria.

There is no downtime with HydraFacial. You can return to your normal activities immediately. You can able makeup immediately after a HydraFacial treatment if desired.
You can add a HydraFacial on to any treatment. The most popular treatment added to the HydraFacial is dermaplaning (which is a physical exfoliation described below). HydraFacial also enhances any laser treatment and is often used to prep the skin for more aggressive skin treatments.
Medical Spa Dermaplaning at The Spa at NAPS
Dermaplaning is highly effective physical exfoliation that gently removes the top-most layer of dead skin, along with fine vellus hair, referred to as peach fuzz. Dermaplaning requires the use of a sterile, fine blade to shave the skin’s surface gently. It allows topical products to penetrate tissue more deeply, promotes more youthful-looking skin, reduces pores, and works on all skin types. Dermaplaning is typically combined with other treatments to increase results. It’s a pain-free, relaxing treatment with no downtime.
Dermplaning not only removes the outer layer of dead skin but it also eliminates the fine vellus hair. No other exfoliating treatment addresses both the dead skin and the subtle facial hair. Your skin will have an outstanding glow and soft texture and tone. You can add dermaplaning on to any treatment for as low as 50 dollars enhance the results. The results vary depending on patients, but dermaplaning can be done as frequently as once per month.
Is Dermaplaning Right for You?
At The Spa at NAPS, dermaplaning procedures are performed by one of our experienced aestheticians and sessions can be completed as quickly as 30-minutes. As a result, most cosmetic patients can return to work and normal activities immediately after their procedure with radiant, glowing skin.
Fast and complication-free results are just a few of the fantastic benefits dermaplaning offers. Some of the other reasons why Dr. Alderman recommends dermaplaning for facial rejuvenation include:
Although dermaplaning is well-known for its ability to remove dead and damaged cells that cause the skin to look dull, that’s not where its capabilities stop. Vellus hairs—also called peach fuzz—grow across the skin’s surface and trap oils, dirt, and debris. Like dead skin cells, these ultra-fine hairs can increase unwanted breakouts and even create skin texture under makeup. Removing peach fuzz with dermaplaning provides patients the opportunity for long-lasting clear skin.
The skin can become rough and congested from environmental stressors, makeup, harsh weather conditions, and skipped skincare routines. Even if you include an exfoliation treatment in your weekly skincare routine, you may need more to prevent your skin from looking worn and older. Dermaplaning gives your skin a fresh start and has also been known to minimize the appearance of blemishes and scarring accumulated throughout your life.
While dermaplaning may involve a surgical scalpel, the procedure is non-invasive, as it focuses on removing dead skin cells from only the skin’s surface. As a result, there are no incisions, sutures, or downtime to consider, and the improvements are immediately noticeable after just one session.
