Liquid (Non-Surgical) Facelift in Atlanta, GA
As men and women age, volume is lost in the face. Even if weight stays the same, a patient in their forties and fifties will have less fullness in the cheek and midface region compared to what they had in their twenties. With liquid facelifts in Atlanta, both Dr. Aida Joiner and Dr. Amy Alderman can take a conservative approach to facial rejuvenation and avoid surgical processes.
If you’re looking to achieve improved facial aesthetic, but want to avoid traditional facelift surgery, contact our team today for a liquid facelift consultation with our board-certified plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist.
What can a Liquid Facelift Do?
A non-surgical liquid facelift is provided to restore lost volume and improve other facial conditions. Several areas of the face, including temples, cheeks, and lips, can appear sunken over time, especially for patients who are already naturally thin. As volume is lost, the skin tends to become relaxed and droop. The results are deep nasolabial folds (fold between cheeks and lips), marionette lines (folds extending from corners of the mouth), and jowls. Facial fillers are used to restore volume, correct contour irregularities and create a more youthful appearance.
In addition to volume loss, facial skin loses elasticity with aging, sun exposure, and smoking. Fine lines and wrinkles develop, creating an older-than-desired appearance. Neuromodulators such as BOTOX® and Dysport are aimed at reducing the appearance of wrinkles and smoothing the skin, especially in the forehead and eyelid region.
The goal of using fillers and BOTOX®/Dysport is to create and maintain a youthful appearance without plastic surgery. Scheduled maintenance with fillers and BOTOX®/Dysport allows patients to age gracefully and delay the need for surgical intervention.

Why Choose a Non-Surgical Facelift?
Fillers and BOTOX® are always Alderman and Dr. Joiner’s first line of treatment if possible. Her goal is to help patients age gracefully and always look like themselves, just a bit more refreshed. Although there are times when plastic surgery is the best option, Dr. Alderman has found that the advancements in non-surgical treatments have really prolonged the time at which patients need surgical intervention.
By developing a long-term relationship with most of their injectable patients, both Dr. Joiner and Dr. Alderman can conservatively treat only the areas of concern. Their patients know that they don’t push products or recommend treatment unless they truly feel that it will make a positive impact on their facial rejuvenation.
Who Is a Good Candidate for a Liquid Facelift?
Anyone who feels as though they have lost volume in their face is a good candidate for a liquid facelift. It is not a replacement for surgery, but can certainly make improvements that will prolong the need for a traditional facelift. It can instantaneously provide a refreshed look, make you look less tired, and best of all, it has minimal to no downtime.
Determining the Right Fillers for your Needs
More than ever, we have a large diversity of safe and effective products available for facial rejuvenation. Products vary in their ability to restore volume and lift tissue while remaining soft and pliable, and they perform differently in different areas of the face. A particular product is chosen based on the individual’s goals and desires. In general, fillers will last about one year and BOTOX®/Dysport last about three to four months.
Non-Surgical Facelift Treatment Areas and Benefits
Dermal fillers are an effective way to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and add volume that we lose with age, creating a more youthful appearance. They can add volume to the lips, fill in nasolabial folds (the area between the nose and the sides of the mouth), and marionette lines (the area from the corner of the mouth to the jawline). They can also add volume and create improved contour in facial features such as the cheeks and chin as well. For example, adding filler to the pre-jowl area of your chin will smooth the overall contour and camouflage the appearance of jowls.

Liquid Facelifts in Buckhead & Atlanta, GA, with Dr. Alderman or Dr. Joiner
All of our injections are performed by either Dr. Alderman or Dr. Joiner. The injections can take between 10 and 30 minutes. Every effort is made to ensure a patient’s comfort during the procedures. A combination of numbing cream, ice, and local blocks are used to make patients comfortable during the injections.
Both Dr. Joiner and Dr. Alderman enjoy providing injectable treatments for a couple of reasons. For one, they can personally monitor changes in facial aging, allowing them to advise a patient when we may need to incorporate a surgical procedure to maintain a youthful appearance. Secondly, they really enjoy knowing their patients long-term and helping them keep a refreshed, natural appearance over the years.
There is no real down time with fillers. Subtle bruising and swelling can occur for two to three days, but patients should be able to camouflage any bruising with makeup.
